Hurt And Win

It is commonly believed that in anger we speak the truth. Yes we tend to tell the truth when we are angry. But all times it is not correct, in anger our tongue runs faster than our mind; we say a whole bunch of stupid things and express what we feel at that time. We forget all rules of good conversation and mutual respect.

We get angry when someone hurts us, things do not turn out as we want or we disappointed in anyway. In rage we become self centered, one-sided and biased, when someone hurt us (by saying something we don't want to listen no matter either it would be truth or not), abused or wronged us  we show same or more reaction.

In anger we only want to defeat our opponent and the main objective is to hurt them. Because of reacting out of immediate pain, we say so many hurtful things, present lame points, what we never say in normal mood, it's just sake of revenge, to lash out to hurt. We just try to hurt them more to get satisfaction and to clam down our self.  In anger we tend to say things that will definitely hurt the other. When we're angry we do not think of the consequences for what we say or do, we think like "hurt and win."

The truth comes out when you want it to. Some people plan to lie no matter what the situation is, it's about self control and the fact is in rage mostly we say thing we don't mean. It's just kinda tricky during fights we say things to hurt people regardless if its true or not.

  1. the best remedy i can think of to get rid of this anger syndrome is to thank ALLAH on routine basis by providing us with plenty of things every single second. Being closer to ALLAH from heart should keep a person's mind and heart at ease.

  2. After marriage, I really had to teach myself to control my anger and especially my tongue. Sometimes I find the best thing to do is walk away and do as the Prophet (saw) suggested:

    1. The Prophet said, "I know a word (sentence) the saying of which will cause him to relax if this man says it. Only if he said, 'I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the outcast.'"
    2. Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Anger comes from the devil, the devil was created of fire, and fire is extinguished only with water; so when one of you becomes angry, he should perform ablution."
    3. The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said to us: When one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down.

  4. Your words on anger have much truth. Humbling oneself by asking for forgiveness after saying angry words sometimes can be forgotten but it is needed as you say--to remove the cloud around our thoughts and around our relationship with whom we were angry with.
