Allah says:
"Not a word does one utter, except that there is an (angel) Watching, Ready to record it."
Surah Qaf : Ayat 18
On the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good things or keep silent.
Abu Mosa Al-Ash’aree ((may Allah be pleased with him) said:
I said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah Which of the Muslims is best?’ He (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
"He whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe from."
[Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]
Words can HURT or HEAL... What did yours do today?
What we say has the ability to create situations, emotions, and thoughts in others. Kind words help people and make them your friends, negative words hurt - sometimes for a very long time. Tongue determine our attitude, personality and thinking. Sweetness and truthness of tongue provide you the shadow of life and bitterness and falsehood of tongue leave you alone in scorching beam of life.
Our tongues are like double-edges swords. They can work for us and against us, both in this world and the Hereafter.
"Flowers" are very soft, do not "touch" with hard hands. Similarly "feelings" are like soft flowers, do not touch them with harsh word.
Guard your tongues. We will be held accountable for what we say.
Word can be uttered in a few seconds, yet its effects last a lifetime.
image, picture, harsh words |
Harsh, and mean words we utter
When upset and feeling mad
Hurt those people we care about
Making them feel so bad
Make your words as sweet as Honey, you never know when you'll have to eat them.
Correct :)
ReplyDeleteThese small things contribute so much to our life that we dont even know.
Great work you are doing. Hats off.

I agree Asma..words are like double edged sword that penetrates into our soul..physical wounds can heal easier than degrading words that can leave permanent scars in our hearts..hurting words can shatter one's own soul..I so can relate!

ReplyDelete@Dua: Welcome here...
Yes it's our choice what we make our words... :)
Yes Asma,
ReplyDeleteWe have to be extra careful before we utter a word because a wrong word might hurt others.
"Think before you speak" is enough to control a slip of tongue. Bad mouthing takes us straight to the HELLFIRE--GOD FORBID.
Using one's tongue wisely is recommended to please Allah subhanhu wa taalaa.
So true, this little things are what make us better muslims :D

@MAHNOOR: Welcome here & thanks for sharing your views... :)
ReplyDeleteWords are so important and can make so much damage. When you realise it you tend to improve, as I am trying to keep silent when I am angry or not satisfied about something. It is hard but whenever I let go of the words I am full of regrets afterwards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another wonderful post Asma. Hope you are keeping well.
Those who can't control their tongue are most likely to be a better Sinner.
ReplyDeleteSo I say this "Ya Allah - Grant me the power to control my wishes, and the power to control what I think and what I say. The Power to keep my thought from turning bad."
-Actually most of the times I fail at it but I hope someday I'll be able to keep myself quit. :')
@Daniyal Arain Insha Allah you will ... :)
