Islam is a strong advocate of marriage.
We live in a society where communication with the opposite sex is compuslory at some point of our lives. But as for a having a relationship with the opposite sex is concerned, this is indeed forbidden in Islam. Boyfriend and girlfriend relationship has become a common thing also in our Pakistani society. People think there is no harm in having such relation. It has become so common that we don't feel ashamed of it. In Islam, there is no such thing as a girlfriend-boyfriend relationship, it is strictly forbidden.
According to Islam; without marrigae two hetrosexual can't be live together, so Islam emphasizes on marriage. There is no need and permission to have physical relationship before marriage. Many young buddies have unrealistic romantic notions, mostly those ideas proved harmful for both individuals.

Marriage is the only valid or halal way to indulge in intimacy between a man and a woman.
Going to dates, touching each other physically or doing anything dirty and unethical is not love and it is totally forbidden in Islam. If you feel love for someone and also are serious in making him/her life partner and he/she is also interested, than adopt better and reasonable way of proposing or asking his/her hand in marriage directly but here one should follow Islamic rules of etiquette (meeting in public, having a chaperon, no flirtatious or sexual speech, lowering the gaze, etc), or involve your families to settle things between both individuals.
You are doing an awesome work i must say.
ReplyDeleteThis point and thing is common in around 90% of our youth.
We even are doing such things and many other and even not accepting it as its a sin.
I am also into these and God Forgive all of us.
Subhnallah I really fear for my children. It was hard when I was a teenager so I assume it must be even worse out there amongst the youth to refrain form relationships outside marriage. May Allah protect and help them and us all. Ameen

Asma, you are doing a great job through your morality related posts. There is good direction for the "teen agers" who usually are easy prey to the ones with hunger for unlawful intimacy.
ReplyDeleteParents should take care of their vulnerable kids and keep training them how to stay away from such vices.
God bless U.
